The research is an ongoing project to understand some of the impact of colonial administration on Ewu of Esanland. It narrows its discussion to the changes that occurred to some aspects of traditional cultural and political practices during the British colonial governance in Nigeria with emphasis on the Ewu people. Review of related literature, oral interview and eye witness approach is adopted as its method of research. Preliminary finding reveal that some aspect contemporary cultural and political practices are mix-grill of Ewu and colonial interaction, such as dressing, hairstyle, language. The research concludes on the high note that more research is required to comprehend how colonial rule redefined aspects of Ewu way of live.
